Please Note: All of these ministries are ones in which you can participate or with which you can become a directly involved volunteer.

Adult Training – On a semester basis in the Spring and Fall there is a class presented for adults. This Fall, beginning September 9, at 7:00 PM we will offer the CTS Certificate Program. Youth Ministry – The youth of TCC are alive, well, and ready for a new season of learning, outreach, fun, and activities. Under parent and adult-leaders, beginning in August and continuing weekly in September, the youth will meet for learning and activities.

Children’s Ministry – Under the leadership of Karen Bayles, the Children’s Ministry is retooling and re-tunning. Mrs. Bayles has outlined a vision for teaching children, teacher training, outreach, and activities for the next year. A great curriculum from Children Desiring God is at the core of the training.

Intercessory Prayer – A group of intercessors join the Pastor weekly for the specific purpose of praying for our nation, our church and the needs of our congregation. This time is one of focused and fervent prayer. All are welcome.

Emergency Prayer and Information E-mail Chain – When special prayer is needed or when information needs to be given to the church, an email chain is initiated. This very valuable tool puts the congregation in touch with important needs and issues on a daily basis.

Usher Ministry – The usher Ministry serves each Sunday and at special services during the year. This valuable ministry is aimed at greeting and serving the congregation of TCC for communion and the offering each Lord’s Day.

Greeters – Seeing a joyful face and receiving  a warm handshake or hug on Sunday mornings is important.  We have a group of very committed greeters at TCC who do just that.  A simple job with a big result.  Our Greeters are committed to making everyone’s  first impression of TCC that of a warm and loving welcome.

After-service Fellowship – This is one of the most important and highly involved ministries of TCC. Each Sunday after the morning service light refreshments: bagels, etc. and coffee and drinks are served. It is a time to meet new people and enjoy the company of old friends. Bread Ministry – Our local Safeway has partnered with TCC to offer free bread, muffins, and desserts. The food is available in the in the foyer for anyone who cares to participate.

Seminary Training – Covenant Theological Seminary of Tallahassee, Florida was established in the early 1990’s as a leadership training school. Pastor Bayles became involved with CTS in the mid 1990’s and has been an active teacher and Board Member. TCC is an extension site for CTS in Maryland and offers self-directed seminary level training for called men and women.

Prison to Pulpit Prison Ministry – since 2003 CTS has offered seminary level training to inmates of the Maryland Correctional Training Center in Hagerstown, Maryland. This has also been a ministry focus of TCC as the church has supported the effort financially and through a continuous prayer covering. The ministry has expanded to include a number of inmates from other prisons and released men finishing programs in the area.

Twinbrook Christian DayCare – In 2007 TCC took over the existing day care provided by a private company in order to serve our community and reach families and children with the Gospel. Though it has been a challenging transition, TCD is now a fully functioning ministry of TCC and the fruits of our vision are being realized.

Worship and Sound Ministry – The worship team and sound team serve a very important function at TCC. At the core of our vision is a commitment to worship: “aimed at glorifying God, experiencing His presence, and hearing His voice.” Both the preparation and presentation of worship are taken very seriously. We are blessed by this longstanding commitment to Spirit-filled worship founded in the truth of God’s Word.
