Our Purpose

Twinbrook Christian DayCare is a non-profit ministry of Twinbrook Community Church. TCD is a full-time, year-round child care center with programs for infants, preschool, and school age children. Our goal is to assist parents and families with the developmental and educational growth of their children in a safe, secure, and loving environment.

Our Staff

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality professional Christian employees for the nurture and development of your children. Our director has over ten years of childcare experience. Our professional, long-term teachers are fully licensed and/or educationally qualified holding elementary and early childhood education degrees. Our support staff is nurturing and loving. All our staff is trained in and committed to child safety and for providing an environment where your child can learn to enjoy and understand his or her world and be prepared for the future.

Our Programs

Twinbrook Christian DayCare is a God-centered program. Our center is designed for children of all races, religious affiliations, and cultural backgrounds. Our desire is to provide a loving and safe place for your child to grow. Our balanced, free-choice activities are all centered in a Bible-oriented format, a weekly Chapel time (provided by the Pastor, Children’s’s Ministry Director, and Staff of Twinbrook Community Church), value and character development, the celebration of Christian and United States holidays. Our aftercare program includes pick-up and drop-off at local elementary schools and a commitment to a help-with-homework plan that is emphasized each day.

We focus on the growth and development of the mind and also the body. Our outdoor play areas bring the freshness of the outdoors to the daily experience of the children. Our safe and family-oriented location provides the opportunity for seasonal yard play activities and short neighborhood stroller outings for infants. In addition, singing and music are very important features of our programs. The youngest infant to the oldest elementary school child will enjoy hearing and singing music designed to inspire and enrich the growing experience. Structured musical instruction is also available by appointment for the older elementary school children in piano and violin.

Our programs are presented in the small group classroom setting and through larger multi-age group activities such as chapel, and seasonal group presentations for the whole center and parents. A hands-on emphasis is given in all we seek to teach. The development of sensory motor skills, language, free-play, first-math, appropriate socialization, and personal perception are introduced through age-sensitive materials and activities that are both child-centered and teacher-directed.
